I have been making music since I was 8 years old. I started on the horn with a concert band in Amsterdam. After a few years I switched to euphonium and eventually to bass tuba.

At the conservatory, I switched from minoring in euphonium to minoring in trombone while studying brass band conducting. After six months as a minor in trombone, I was admitted to the 1st year major in trombone (classical) and I graduated in 1999.

I have been playing guitar and bass guitar since I was a teenager and have played in various formations: from blues, hard rock, pop and jazz bands to big bands. I very regularly play guitar or bass guitar with various harmony and fanfare orchestras on a substitute basis.
